"Mokolea" (pronounced "Mocha-lay-uh") is actually a bird
sanctuary on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. I
chose it as my Cattery name because it made me think of something exotic and
beautiful... like the Havana Brown.
Mokolea Cattery’s philosophy
is to promote Havana Browns by exhibiting in shows and
providing information to anyone interested in this breed and
my
goal is to produce quality
not quantity.
I
have had great success in producing Havana Browns
that meets the breed standard set by the Cat Fanciers
Association (CFA) and have won numerous Regional and
National Awards. My kittens are nurtured with lots of
love and attention and my cats are treated like members of
the family... because they are. I believe extensive handling
and play is fundamental in producing well
socialized kittens and loving adults.
Mokolea Cattery was interviewed for an article
in "Cat Fancy Magazine" which was featured in
the
November 2009 issue and most recently my kittens were the
ones filmed for the episode of
"Cats 101" on Animal Planet which was originally aired
November 7, 2009 at 9pm EST.
